Travel My Dear ABN 31 205 148 842 | ATAS No. 10506
Last updated: 11 October 2025

1) Who we are & how these terms work

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to cruise bookings made via the Travel My Dear website (the “cruise widget”) and to any related services we provide to you. References to “we”, “us” and “our” are to Travel My Dear (Independent Travel Consultant). References to “you” and “your” are to the lead traveller and all travellers on the booking.

By searching, holding, or confirming a cruise through our website, you acknowledge you have read and agree to these Terms as well as the cruise line’s own fare rules and conditions of carriage.

2) Agency relationship (your contract is with the cruise line)

We act as agent for cruise lines and other travel service providers. Your contract for the cruise, air, hotels, transfers, shore excursions and ancillaries is with the relevant supplier(s). Their terms (including change/cancellation rules, eligibility, documentation requirements, pregnancy policies, minors’ policies and accessibility policies) form part of your agreement and will apply in addition to these Terms.

3) Who can book & authority to act

The person making the booking warrants they are 18+ and have authority to accept these Terms for all travellers on the booking, including those added later. That person is responsible for all payments, changes and communications.

4) Names, passports & visas

  • Names must match passports exactly. Incorrect names can lead to denial of boarding and/or supplier fees for reissue.
  • Passports & visas are your responsibility. Many destinations require at least six months’ passport validity beyond return. Check transit and entry requirements (including any electronic travel authorisations) for every country on your itinerary.
  • We can provide general information only. You are responsible for obtaining all required documents and meeting entry, health and vaccination requirements of your destination(s).

5) Travel insurance (strongly recommended)

The Australian Government strongly recommends travel insurance for international travel. You’re free to choose any insurer and level of cover. As an authorised selling agent, we provide general advice only on Cover-More and NIB travel insurance policies (we don’t consider your personal objectives, financial situation or needs). Read the relevant PDS/FSG before purchase.

6) Health, fitness & special assistance

You are responsible for ensuring you (and anyone you book for) are medically fit to travel and comply with any cruise line medical forms, pregnancy cut-offs, mobility aid rules, refrigeration/power needs, and vaccination/test requirements. We will pass on medical or special-assistance requests to suppliers, but approval is at the supplier’s discretion.

7) Pricing, inclusions & currency

All prices shown online are dynamic and subject to change until paid in full and ticketed by the supplier. Fares generally include your cabin and standard onboard meals/entertainment as specified by the cruise line. Unless expressly included, prices exclude air, transfers, shore excursions, gratuities/service charges, specialty dining, wi-fi, beverages, insurance, and personal expenses. Taxes, port charges, and fuel surcharges may vary at any time per the cruise line’s policy.

8) Deposits, final payment & instant-purchase rates

Deposit and final payment amounts and due dates are set by the cruise line and will be displayed at purchase. Some fares are instant purchase and require full payment at booking. Failure to pay by the due date may result in automatic cancellation by the supplier with loss of monies paid, per the supplier’s rules.

9) Our fees (online bookings vs post-booking help)

  • $0 booking fee applies to cruises booked directly via our website with no prior communication/advice from us about that cruise.
  • $50 management fee (per booking event) applies if you ask us to handle any amendment after booking (e.g., names/spellings, dining time, cabin change, date change, adding/removing guests, applying promos, chasing waitlists), in addition to any cruise line fees and fare differences.
  • If you request our consultation or handling before you book online (quote comparisons, advice, tailoring, or manual ticketing), our standard professional fees may apply (quoted prior to work).

10) Changes & cancellations

  • Your changes/cancellations: If you change or cancel, cruise line fees and fare differences will apply per their policy. Our $50 management fee applies if we action the change on your behalf and $150 management fee applies in case of cancellation. Some fares are non-refundable.
  • Supplier changes & itinerary variations: Cruise lines may modify or substitute ports, schedules, ships, cabins, or arrangements due to operational needs, safety, weather, port congestion, strikes, public health events, or other circumstances beyond their control. Remedies are per the cruise line’s policy and applicable law.
  • Refund timing: Where a refund is permitted, funds are released only after received from the supplier. Processing times vary by supplier.

11) Credit/debit cards & surcharges

Where applicable, merchant surcharges will be disclosed at checkout. You authorise charges to the card you provide. If a charge is declined, you must provide an alternative immediately to avoid cancellation.

12) Shore excursions & third-party services

Shore excursions (whether purchased through the cruise line or from an independent operator), hotels, transfers, insurance and other add-ons are provided by third parties under their own terms. Participation is at your own risk.

13) Baggage, check-in & denied boarding

You must comply with cruise line and port authority check-in times and baggage rules. Failure to arrive on time (including due to flight or transfer delays you arranged yourself) may result in denied boarding without refund, per supplier policy. Always reconfirm embarkation instructions 24–72 hours prior.

14) Loyalty programs & promotions

We can record loyalty numbers and promos where eligible, but crediting is not guaranteed and is subject to the cruise line’s rules at travel time.

15) Privacy

We collect, use and disclose your personal information to operate the website, process your booking, and provide customer support. To fulfil your booking, we must share traveller data with suppliers (including overseas recipients) who will handle it under their own privacy policies. By booking, you consent to these disclosures. Contact us for our Privacy Statement.

16) Liability & Australian Consumer Law

We exercise care in selecting reputable suppliers but do not control their performance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for acts/omissions of suppliers or for events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that our services are provided with due care and skill and fit for the disclosed purpose.

17) Force majeure / extraordinary events

If travel is disrupted by events outside a supplier’s reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic, war/terrorism, industrial action, port closure, government directives), remedies are per the supplier’s policy (which may include re-routing, future cruise credit, or refunds less unrecoverable costs).

18) Complaints & support

If an issue arises, notify the supplier immediately while travelling so they can attempt to resolve it. If you need our help, contact us and we will assist within the scope of our agency role and these Terms.

19) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

20) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the new version on our website. The Terms in place at the time you make your booking will apply to that booking.
